Book now for free workshops to transform the selling power of your business

The Institute of Sales Professionals is running a series of free masterclasses to boost the selling skills of small businesses (SMEs) – and we are inviting you to sign up now.

The workshops for SMEs in Hampshire and Surrey will set out an action plan to boost business-to-business (B2B) sales and improve long-term performance.

After finishing the course, SMEs will leave with a completed workbook tailored to their own business. Skills learnt on the course can be put into practice straight away.

The workshops for SMEs owners, or salespeople who work in SMEs, are being funded by the Department for Education and hosted by further education colleges in Basingstoke, Epsom, Farnborough, Guildford, and Sparsholt, Winchester.

Class sizes are limited and being offered on a first-come, first-served basis, so if you are interested, please book yours now.

The courses include some short preparation work sent to each SME in advance followed by two four-hour, face-to-face evening classes, or an eight-hour daytime class. The classroom workshops are reinforced about a week later, with a one-hour virtual meeting which will recap the course with a question-and-answer session.

Background information
Two reports by the All Party-Parliamentary Group (APPG) for Professional Sales have highlighted a critical shortage of expert business-to-business (B2B) salespeople which is affecting businesses across the UK, and SMEs in particular. The reports have recommended – amongst other things – practical support to help small businesses develop sales and sales management skills.

This pioneering initiative reflects government plans to build a high-skilled, growth economy, in recognition of the shortage of professional sales skills as reported by the M3 Local Enterprise Partnership in Hampshire and Surrey.
