NBS announces new partnership with the Institute of Sales Professionals and says “membership gives our customers confidence”

The Institute for Sales Professionals is pleased to announce that NBS, the leading construction technology platform, has committed to a three-year partnership with the ISP, in a move to enhance the professional development of its sales team.

NBS, headquartered in Newcastle upon Tyne, offers a global technology platform that combines content and connectivity for anyone involved in the design, supply and construction of the built environment.

47 members of NBS’s sales team had already benefitted from ISP membership, which gives them access to continued professional development (CPD) sessions, training, and webinars delivered by sales industry experts, achieving a collaborative total of 177 CPD points within the first two months of the partnership.

Patrick Joiner, Managing Director of the Institute for Sales Professionals, said: “We are delighted to welcome NBS into corporate membership of the ISP. The launch of their membership has been spectacular. Within six weeks of membership, 96% of their salesforce have successfully completed the FAIR Ethics programme, earning NBS the quickest Investor in Sales Award on record!

“Additionally, the NBS sales team has been engaging in the ISP webinar programme and accessing content on the CPD platform, with each member completing nearly 4 hours of self-directed learning already. It is hugely gratifying to see a company and its salespeople embracing their ISP membership with such enthusiasm and commitment. With this focus, NBS has clearly demonstrated its commitment to the aims and objectives of the ISP and I look forward to a long and exciting partnership with Chris Slinn and his team.”

Under this new partnership, members are required to complete the ISP’s professional registration exam – the FAIR Ethics in Sales assessment, which is designed to ensure that all customer-facing staff pledge to follow the rules by providing appropriate solutions that are in the best interests of their customers, stakeholders, and the organisations they work for, whilst acting with integrity and a desire to progress their professional development.

Chris Slinn, Managing Director of NBS, said: “The partnership with the ISP is a crucial step forward in our continued commitment to developing our staff, our profession, and our business. Backed by the ISP’s qualifications and programme of continuous professional development, the membership gives our customers confidence that they are doing business with a trusted supplier. We’re proud to be making a difference, investing in the development of our salespeople.”

Andrew Preston, Sales Director at NBS, has seen first-hand the success of the ISP membership rollout, commenting: “The ISP is a great dedicated tool for sales professionals, with all content and sessions tailored towards continued professional development and sales-specific learning. Ultimately, it’s all about trust and ensuring that our customers and prospective customers believe in not just NBS as a company, but also the individuals who represent the business in a sales capacity.”

To qualify for membership, NBS expect all staff members to participate in active progress reviews. Moving forward, all NBS sales staff will have access to the ISP membership as part of NBS’s long-term commitment to developing its ethical sales proposition.
