Professional development benefits customers, colleagues and business says Brother UK

Brother UK, the print-technology suppliers, says its work with the Institute of Sales Professionals (ISP), building skills and knowledge across its sales team, is essential for customer confidence and brings market advantage.

Brother UK has a 60-strong sales team based at its headquarters in Manchester and 100% have completed their professional registration by passing the ISP’s Fair ethics exam. By doing so, they have gained the coveted Investor in Sales award, demonstrating their commitment to ethical selling.

The FAIR exam – which allows salespeople who pass to appear on our publicly searchable, professional register – is based on our Fair programme. Under the Fair framework, ISP members pledge to: Follow the rules; provide Appropriate solutions in the best interests of their customers, stakeholders and the organisations they work for; act with Integrity; and Raise the bar with continuing professional development.

Phil Jones MBE, Managing Director, Brother UK and a founding fellow of the ISP said: “We’re committed to ensuring that our sales professionals continue to develop their professional skills with industry leading qualifications via the Institute of Sales Professionals.

“Learning and development is not only an ethical responsibility for leaders at every level, our customers must also have complete confidence that everything we do is in their interests, with high levels of governance, compliance and rigour as part of our sales cycle.”

“Thanks to our work with the ISP, we’ve been able to align strategy, culture and skills in a unique way that has given us an edge in the market. As a result, our business partners cite Brother UK as one of the best vendors they work with.”

The partnership between Brother UK and the ISP is another example of Brother’s impressive record of empowering their employees by investing in their careers.

Brother UK also holds an Investors in People platinum award, one of the most prestigious accolades in people management, which was conferred after rigorous rounds of employee interviews, surveys, and substantial supporting evidence.
